Fast Tire Changes, Simplified Tilt-Back Design
General repair shops are constantly looking for tire changers that are simple to use, fast, and safe. That’s where the R76LT comes in. This tire changer gets rid of the add-ons that are specifically made to assist operators with tricky run-flats, low-profile tires as well as particularly stubborn beads. This is a problem which doesn’t affect most passenger vehicles and pick-up tires, so this tilt-back design simply offers you what you’ll need.
Why a tilt-back tire machine?
The R76ATR is sporting swing-arms for a few reasons. These kinds of models save space, and the tilt-back tower can adjust to the size of the wheel, which ends up making the R76LT extremely easy to use. As the saying goes, time is money, and this tilt-back will help you increase turnaround times and help fast paced shops increase their bottom line.
The professional-grade R76LT is equipped with a large turntable that can provide an internal clamping capacity of 30” and an external clamping capacity of 28”. Its rugged body and rigid 45mm hexagonal vertical shaft and hardened-steel horizontal outrigger support arm eliminate flex during all tire service procedures to minimize the risk of accidently damaging expensive wheels. Bead seating and tire inflation is simple and effortless with Ranger’s exclusive TurboBlast™ portable bead seating system. The controls are ergonomically placed so you won’t have to do any unnecessary movements like excessive reaching, walking, or bending.
This tire changer features an electric turntable rotates secured wheels quickly and safely. The turntable is efficient and also completely controlled. This ends up giving the low-profile and run-flat beads more time to relax, so there’s little chance that they’ll snap off and tear the tire.
Adjustable RimGuard™ wheel clamps
Sturdy, adjustable RimGuard™ wheel clamps are crafted from hardened steel, and they can expand from 9” up to 30”. The internal/external multi-teeth jaws make changing a tire fast and easy.
Advanced clamp positioning
A tire changer is only as good as the clamps that hold the wheel still. Ranger’s advanced positioning system allows you to clamp a wheel at any point in the clamping range.
Easier bead lubrication
The R76LT’s turntable geometric design permits easy lubrication of the beads before breaking them. This makes it as easy as can be to inspect the lower bead during mounting and inflation, as well.
Ranger’s bead breaker is among the smoothest and most reliable available today. It can pop beads in a single, swift motion in both directions. The breaker was designed with a stainless-steel cylinder body, so you won’t have to worry about moisture contamination or corrosion. There are multiple hinges which combine with a fully adjustable blade, as well as dual-flange axle which will prevent flexing or early failure. The blade can be further adjusted for larger tires and wheels.
Enhanced bead-breaker blade
The enhanced bead-breaker blade features a solid box frame construction which increase the mechanical strength, as well as service life and overall performance. A large rubber bump-stop assures a smooth return to help reduce shock loading and minimize wear on the pneumatic cylinder, guides, and associated moving parts.
The R76LT comes with a perfectly balanced flywheel which reduces stress on the tire changer. This will keep the machine from rumbling and shaking during operation. This feature will work towards greatly extending the lifespan of your tire changer.
Simple foot-pedal control
This tire changer includes forged steel foot pedals which are lightweight, easy to depress, and extremely durable for continuous, daily use. The snap action spring return ensures that the pedal keeps bouncing back to its starting position. Control valves within the foot pedal contain multi-link rod connections for non-binding plunger movement and precise bilateral control.
Tilt-back tower design
The tilt-back towers increase ground clearance, which allows you to load and lock larger tire and wheel combinations. This also makes it easier to remove them. Perhaps the greatest aspect of the tilt-back tower design is the fact that the pneumatic tool head will return to the same position for like sets of tires. The R76LT eliminates the need to manually find the right position with every wheel.
Advanced drive belt system
Ranger designs their tire changers to include a specialized drive belt which spreads wear evenly throughout the machine. Belt functionality does not weaken over time, and the entire system is protected by the tire changer chassis.
Stainless steel and aluminum pneumatic cylinders
The R76LT includes pneumatic cylinders which are installed to prevent the equipment from vibrating too much. Less movement means less friction. Cushions are installed to soften the end of each stroke, preserving the seals, wear bands, and piston rods. This easy to maintain design is self-lubricating.
Multi-function mount and demount head
The hardened steel mount/demount head allows you to switch functions without needing to move the tool. The amazingly smooth surface gently glides tire beads during mounting/demounting while preventing expensive tire damage. Additionally, this tire changer comes standard with a nylon tool head. This durable tool will protect your customer’s expensive alloy rims and wheels from marring or damage when mounting.
Spring-assisted tool shaft
In an effort to minimize wheel damage, Ranger’s mount/demount tool heads feature hardened-steel horizontal outrigger support arms, in addition to a rigid 45mm spring-assisted hexagonal vertical tool shaft. These features come standard and will work to keeping the tool head in the precise position you set it during service.
Guide bearings for all moving parts
There isn’t a single moving part in this tire changer that isn’t protected. The linear guide bearings put you in charge of adjusting all the wheel settings, and the horizontal arm’s lower roller guide help keep an even tempo throughout the full motion of the arm. With this handy feature you won’t have to worry about wear and tear on the tower guides and other sensitive components.
Foot-controlled tire inflator
Ranger’s foot pedal controls many functions on you tire changer, so it is possible to safely keep two hands on the task at hand. The single push of a button allows you to release tire pressure at any time.
TurboBlast™ bead seating
Ranger’s TurboBlast™ bead seating system will shoot a burst of air between the tire and rim, thus seating beads quickly without doing any damage to the tire structure. For a more controlled air discharge, the system also includes a nylon discharge barrel with a contoured tab that locks against the rim.
Motorcycle clamps (optional)
If you’d like to service motorcycles, you’ll need a set of motorcycle clamps. These motorcycle clamps were specifically made for motorcycle wheel and tire sizes.
